Artist Narrative

I am a Metal worker down to the bone. A storyteller through Steel, Iron, Aluminum, and Cast Bronze. I fixate on capturing moments of time and recording them in a narrative 3 dimentional space. I enjoy pushing limits. Experimenting with centry old techniques and evolving them into a modern process. I enjoy the challenge of creating processes that have never been done.

The Process of Metalworking is a passion of mine. Each piece before you is crafted by me from start to finish. I make my own molds, cast, chase, patnate and weld. Of course when I scale up… It takes an army of metal heads working together to finish a masterpiece.

My style evolves with my understanding and life experences. Geometric shadows, unpersonalized figures, cubisum, realisum, abstraction. Each piece calls for its own set of techniqes. “Fractured Violin” begins as a reaslist violin. But I’ve captured the movement when a violin sings. It transformes from its realist nature into 2 then 3 violins at the base. Starting with wood, Puzzeling a 16 piece sand mold, Pourning Ducttile iron, patnating WITH A warm Japanze brown rice wine patinia, and holding a secret; I feel a viewer can truly see the music when viewing this piece.

Each fine art purchase allows for the continuation of my experimentation within the process of creating metal sculpture. It also aids in the development of my studio workshop. Thank you for your continued support of the arts.
